Over 100 years ago Dr. Maria Montessori developed her
theory of education after observing young children and
paying close attention to how they learned.
The Montessori classroom has a dual focus. The first is to allow a child to
experience success through hands-on learning in every area of the classroom.
The second is to develop a child's character by showing him how to be
competent and capable, and by teaching him every day life skills. The
Montessori philosophy provides a foundation for both motivating a child to
love learning and to develop a willingness to accept his life¹s challenges.
Years of experience have proven Dr. Montessori's theory that a young child
will flourish when immersed in an environment that excites and motivates
him, while at the same time addresses his interest and developmental needs.
